Successful DELORES25 Workshop in Leeds

After the successful implementation in the past two years, this year's DELORES25 workshop took place on June 20 and 21, 2025, in Leeds as a satellite event of the EURO Conference 2025. The workshop aimed to support early-career researchers and doctoral candidates in operations research and publishing high-quality research.

In practice-oriented sessions, participants worked intensively on their own manuscripts, received feedback in a targeted manner from experienced mentors, and learned about key elements of successful scientific publications. The program was supplemented by insights into constructive peer reviewing and identifying practice-relevant research topics.

In addition to scientific work, DELORES25 offered various opportunities for international networking, for example, at joint lunches and dinners or during guided discussions. The limited number of participants allowed an intensive exchange in small groups and individual support.

The highly positive feedback from the participants motivates the mentor team, Beatriz Brito Oliveira, Janis Neufeld, Rym M'Hallah, and Udo Buscher to continue the DELORES workshop series next year.
