ExplAIn-TrAIn-Plan Workshop in Dresden
As part of the ExplAIn-TrAIn-Plan project, we were pleased to welcome our project partners from the University of Vienna, dwh GmbH, Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg, and ÖBB in Dresden. The workshop provided an excellent opportunity to discuss the current status of the project and to further develop key questions related to rolling stock scheduling for trains of different vehicle classes. A particular focus was placed on approaches for more sustainable, “green” planning in railway operations.
In addition to the intensive technical discussions, the program included a small excursion to the railway operations laboratory at TU Dresden as well as time for informal exchanges beyond the project work. We would like to thank our project partners for visiting us and look forward to the next steps in the project.
