Kick-Off of the MALEA project
Last Tuesday, November 7, 2023, the newly acquired project partners of Lebensgarten GmbH / Minderleinsmühle GmbH & Co. KG and the team from the Chair of Industrial Management met for the kick-off meeting of the MALEA project.
MALEA is a german acronym and accounts for "Workforce planning in the food sector".
The team consiting of Udo Buscher, Janis Neufeld, Nadine Schiebold, and Alexander Blume aims to optimize personnel deployment planning for a leading organic cereal specialist through ideal shift and workplace assignments of their employees, thus enabling an optimal production that meets delivery deadlines.
In the first step, a detailed analysis of the current processes for the planning of personnel deployment is carried out before the concept development for the solution of the planning problem is started.
