LNDWDD 2024 - Combinatorial optimization to try out yourself
Our chair successfully participated in the "Dresdner Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften" (Dresden Long Night of Science) on June 14, 2024.
The do-it-yourself combinatorial optimization problems were met with great enthusiasm by the young and old. Packing problems could be tried out with the games Ubongo and Katamino. Finding the shortest round trip through up to 30 German cities symbolized a traveling salesman problem. Thirdly, children, teenagers, and adults could optimally plan orders on machines with the help of colored Lego Duplo bricks. Further information can also be found under the following link: Link to Streamlit-App
The chair team was actively supported by our SHK Maximilian Hubmann and Konstantin Rzittky at the stand. Many thanks!
