Logistics Management 2019 in Halle

The Logistics Management conference took place at Martin-Luther Universität Halle-Wittenberg the from September 18.-20., 2019. This bianual conference is organized by the scientific working group on logistics of the Verband der Hochschullehrer für Betriebswirtschaft (VHB). Members of our chair contributed four presentations on current reserach topics:

  • Eduardo Alarcon: Integrated Scheduling of Production and Distribution Operations with Site Selection
  • Udo Buscher: An IP formulation for a machine sequencing problem to minimize job deviation and setups
  • Janis Neufeld: An improved LP-based heuristic for solving a real-world locomotive assignment problem
  • Julia Heil: Network decomposition strategies for scheduling crews in regional railway passenger transportation

In addition, 4 papers could be published in the conference proceedings.
