50 years of EURO and we are right in the middle of it!
We are delighted that our Chair had the opportunity to contribute to the 50th anniversary of the European Conference on Operational Research (EURO), which took place as part of the 34th edition of this prestigious international conference.
This year's host city, Leeds, turned out to be a true hidden gem in the Yorkshire region of Northern England. The University of Leeds impressed not only with its academic spirit, but also with its stunning, historic campus buildings - a beautiful setting for the exchange of cutting-edge ideas.
🔍 In our presentation on
"Distributed Permutation Flowshop Scheduling with Tool Transfers: A Novel Approach to Minimize Total Tardiness", Martin Schönheit and Rainer Lasch, in collaboration with Tristan Becker (TU Dresden), presented their latest research results.
With over 2,200 presentations, the EURO once again offered a broad spectrum of insights into the world of operations research - from theory to practice.
👏 Many thanks to the entire organizing and program committee for making this large-scale conference such a success - and for creating a great environment for academic exchange, meaningful feedback and of course: delicious scones!
