Continuing Training - Dresden International University
A secondary education is offered from the TU Dresden as part of the study program MBA Logistics in cooperation with the DIU. Through this continuing course of study, the academic degree of "Master of Business Administration" can be acquired. The basic aim of the master's degree program logistics is to strengthen the management skills and entrepreneurship of students in order to respond adequately and professionally to logistical challenges in industry, trade and services. Other objectives of the master's degree program are extensive knowledge and skills for market-oriented planning, design, management and control of material, goods and information flows in value-added networks and their implementation.
Trends such as globalization, the reduction of production depth, the formation of cooperative networks and new information and communication technologies ensure today that logistics is in a unique transition. Logistics represent a key success factor of today's enterprises, as excellent logistics in addition to reducing costs and realizing time savings essentially contribute to customer satisfaction and therefore the revenue side of the business. The range of logistic tasks have grown steadily in recent years and confront the employees and managers in the field of logistics with major challenges. A comprehensive development of new logistical potential for success in the enterprise and network practice requires excellent logistic and management skills. In many companies, however, a lack of highly qualified professionals with extensive logistic expertise can be increasingly determined. For the comprehensive implementation of successful, process-oriented solutions the prospective leaders from industry, commerce and the service sector require on the one hand management expertise and in-depth logistics knowledge and on the other hand leadership and communication skills.
With the MBA Logistics, TU Dresden has responded in cooperation with the DIU to the growing challenges in logistics. The teaching concept of the MBA Logistics provides the expertise of general management and logistics, and social competence at the highest level. A high practical relevance facilitates a direct implementation of the acquired knowledge.
