BA-WW-WPA/ D-WW-WPA (5 LP)
CONTENTS AND QUALIFICATION OBJECTIVES
The students master the foundations of information research and techniques of scientific work and have certain key qualifications, which are important for the scientific work during the studies and in professional life. They have general and inter-disciplinary qualifications, which enable them to implement the theoretical study contents into practice.

REGISTRATION
The Registration and Assignment of the WPA-courses are performed centrally by the department. Students assigned to chair of business management, esp. logistics are added to the OPAL-course by the course instructor. In addition, the participants have to register in HISQIS independently.
SEMINAR UNITS
The four seminar units form the basis for the seminar paper to be created and include the following topics:
- Basics for writing scientific papers
- Research in databases
- Reference management
- Scientific work techniques and presentations
SEMINAR PAPER
- Working on the seminar paper in groups of two students
- Length of work: 24 pages (double topic)
- Logistical issues
- Observance of basic rules when writing scientific papers (directories, source work, citation, structure and stringency, cleanliness, ...)
