MDR interview with Prof. Dr. Alexander Kemnitz on the ageing of society and the burden on social systems

The welfare state is under considerable financial pressure, particularly as a result of the ageing population. Chancellor Merz recently announced painful cuts, but the specific form they will take is still unclear.

In order to show which reform approaches are available and how they should be evaluated, an article was published today by MDR Aktuell, for which Prof. Dr. Alexander Kemnitz (Chair of Economics, esp. Economic Policy and Economic Research) was available as an expert for an interview.
