About the Forum

The Graduate Forum in Business and Economics bundles the measures and programs of the Faculty of Business and Economics aimed at early career researchers and also integrates services and offers of the TU Dresden. The forum is intended to serve as a contact point for doctoral candidates and postdocs of the faculty and to contribute to the promotion and support of graduates as well as to the joint development of existing formats and the establishment of new offers.     

The central aims of the Graduate Forum in Business and Economics are:

• Exchange and cooperation: We would like to connect our early-career researchers within the faculty, across faculties, and above all internationally. For this purpose, we use on-site exchange formats as well as programs to invite international guests to the faculty  
• Methods training and skills acquisition: For a successful qualification during the doctorate and the postdoc phase, skills in modern empirical methods are just as essential as knowledge of scientific writing. To ensure this, we offer a number of our own qualification measures.
• International mobility: We would like to motivate our doctoral canadiates and postdocs to regularly present their research results at international conferences or to take advantage of research stays abroad lasting several weeks. The faculty's own funding programs and awards provide financial support for this purpose.
• Equal opportunities: We offer good conditions for reconciling family life and further academic qualification. Regular surveys of doctoral students and postdocs tell us where the shoe pinches, so that we can continuously develop our working atmosphere. We offer numerous English-language formats for international researchers. In particular, the scientific qualification programs arel in English.
