SPSS 30 in the PC pool via terminal server

Due to the low usage of SPSS in the PC pools, we have changed the software installation. From winter semester 24/25 you can use SPSS in the context of teaching via the terminal server of the ZIH.

Instructions for using SPSS

Run the shortcut "Office Collection" on the desktop of the PC-Pool computers. Log in with your ZIH user data and use IBM SPSS Statistics in the virtual machine that opens after starting the shortcut. When starting SPSS in the VM for the first time, select "Apply existing license".

Make sure that you save your data sets in your home drive ("data storage") so that they are not lost when you log out of the VM.

Notes on registering for courses

Please note that explicit registration with the ZIH is required for the use of SPSS in courses. All further information on this can be found on the information page for the terminal server in the section Application and Authorization.
