Compulsory transfer to the PO 2024
General Information on Mandatory Transition to the 2024 Study Plan
Starting in the 2026/2027 winter semester, the “new” study documents introduced in the 2024/2025 winter semester will apply to all students in the Master’s degree programs in Business Administration, Business Education and Management Training, Diplom in Business Information Systems, and Diplom in Industrial Engineering and Management. Students following the “old” study documents from 2014/2017 are required to transition to the new documents at that time.
The mandatory transition is governed by Section 38(4) of the respective examination regulations.
General information on this topic and FAQs can be found in the OPAL course “Mandatory Transition to 2024 Study Documents.”
For specific questions, please contact Ms. Janet Kunath (janet.kunath@tu-dresden.de).
Equivalence Tables
The transfer of modules completed under the 2014–2017 study regulations is governed by the equivalence tables. These tables show how modules completed under the “old” study documents are transferred to the “new” documents:
Master’s in Business Administration
Master’s in Business Education and Management Training
Diploma in Business Information Systems
Diploma in Industrial Engineering and Management
The “new” study documents stipulate that for the Master’s degree program in Business Administration, the Diplom in Business Information Systems, and the Diplom in Industrial Engineering and Management degree programs, the “Presenting and Discussing” area is a required elective in which at least 5 LP must be earned. You can find out which modules are currently (Summer Semester 2026) eligible for credit in this area by referring to the overview of modules eligible for credit in the “Presenting and Discussing” area.
