Studying at the Faculty
The Faculty of Business and Economics provides a widely diversified range of courses. Students may choose between two bachelor degree programs (Business Administration and Economics as well as Business Education and Management Training), two diploma programs (Industrial Engineering and Business Information Systems) and three master degree programs (Business Administration, Economics, Business Education and Management Training). The diploma degrees for the hybrid courses Industrial Engineering and Business Informatics were reintroduced in winter semester 2014/15. Graduates from these courses of study belong to the most coveted at the whole TU Dresden. Also, both courses rank very well in various university rankings.
Our modularly structured study programs provide numerous possibilities for specialization and combination, enabling highly individual development opportunities for our students. Additional eLearning-offers support an individual and interdisciplinary learning which is independent of time and place.
The Faculty offers various possibilites to students who want to study abroad, including more than 50 Erasmus-partnerships in our bachelor's programs and 35 Erasmus-partnerships in our master's programs. Additionally, the faculty has numerous cooperations with universities in non-European countries. Altogether about 160 places are available each academic year. Further agreements with the universities in Trento and Pavia (Italy) and Strasbourg (France) additionally allow students to acquire a dobule degree. Therefore you can complete several semesters at our partner university and obtain an academic degree at both the TU Dresden and the partner university.
In our two diploma programs, Business Informatics and Industrial Engineering, you may choose the 'international' orientation for your main course of study, allowing you to use ECTS from your studies abroad. The international student exchange is further supported by the annually awarded Professor- Endriss Prize, amounting to €4,000.
