Responsible Innovation – Business Research Shapes the Future: This was the title of the 85th conference of the German Academic Association for Business Research (VHB) in Göttingen from March 18 to 20, 2026.

Ilka Weissbrod, PhD, spoke about our chair's research within the DFG Cluster of Excellence REC² on the topic of "Collective Identity and Reflexivity in Responsible Innovation" at the Scientific Commission on Technology, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship. The research addresses how researchers in a project funded by this prestigious national research program integrate the concept of "responsibility" into their research, specifically in the electronics sector in the age of the global climate crisis. The audience feedback will inform the further development of data analysis and the theoretical positioning of our research study outputs.

Ilka also attended the dinner of the VHB scientific commission on Sustainability Management (NAMA). This scientific commission is traditionally the VHB ‘home’ of the Chair of Sustainability Management and Assessment. The dinner offered valuable networking opportunities, good conversation and, thankfully, also plenty of laughter. We hope to be there for the next VHB NAMA conference in Düsseldorf!
