A new list of suggested topics is published annually in February.

NOTE: An economics major significantly contributes to a successful completion of the bachelor thesis topics of our chair.

Master Thesis

The basic prerequisite to write a Master's thesis at the Chair of Public Economics is  a major in economics. Previous participation in lectures and/or seminars provided by the chair is recommended. Since is hardly possible to write a scientific thesis on an economics topic without including English literature, a good knowledge of English is important.

Master theses should be thematically connected to teaching and research content of the chair. Please contact the appropriate chair member who researches or teaches in this area with your proposed topic.

With the admission to the master thesis the participation in the research seminar of the chair is obligatory. Further information about the research seminar can be found here .
