Professur
Since October 2020, Christian Lessmann is Professor of Economics, esp. International Economics at Technische Universität Dresden. He is Research Professor at the ifo Institute - Leibniz Institute for Economic Research at the University of Munich e.V. and CESifo Research Network Fellow. Christian Lessmann is member of the Regional Economics Section as well as the Development Economics Section of the German Economic Association.
Before joining TU Dresden in 2020, Christian Lessmann was Professor of Economics at TU Braunschweig and Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg. He received both his habilitation and his PhD at Technische Universität Dresden, and he was junior researcher and PhD candidate at the ifo Institute Dresden Branch. His research was awarded with the Wolfgang Ritter Prize, the Georg-Helm Prize, the Dr. Feldbausch Prize, and the Peggy and Richard Musgrave Prize.
His research interests include International Economics, Development Economics, Regional Economics and Political Economy.
