Welcome, Ciprian Domnisoru!
We are delighted to welcome Prof. Ciprian Domnisoru as a Distinguished Research Fellow (DRF) at the Chair of Quantitative Methods, in particular Econometrics (Prof. Dr. Kamila Cygan-Rehm).
Ciprian Domnisoru is a Professor of Economics and Data Science at the Aalto School of Business (Helsinki GSE). His research focuses on labor and education economics, exploring how labor market institutions and education policies influence social mobility. His work covers topics such as school quality, competition among universities, gender effects in teaching, student financial aid, and the long-term impacts of social programs. His research has been published in leading academic journals, including the Journal of Labor Economics.
In May 2025, Ciprian Domnisoru was recognized as a Distinguished Research Fellow of the Faculty of Business and Economics at TU Dresden. During his stay until November 7, 2025, he is collaborating with Kamila Cygan-Rehm and Andreas Leibing on the project:
“The secular decline in teen employment: the role of compulsory schooling and work permits”.
