Business Information Systems Group at ECIS 2022
The annual European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS) is one of the most renowned meetings of IS. After two virtual conferences, ECIS 2022 took place for the first time again in presence in Timisoara (Romania).
TU Dresden was represented by an interdisciplinary team of researchers in several roles: including the Information Systems Professorships for Business Engineering (WIBE), for Information Systems in Industry and Commerce (ISIH), and for Intelligent Systems and Services (ISD), as well as the Digital Health research group. The team was able to establish contacts with numerous researchers, take away exciting research impulses, and celebrate joint successes.
Martin Wiener (WIBE) as Program Chair was responsible for the smooth running of the academic program with 238 paper presentations. Jeanette Stark (Digital Health Research Group) took over the role as Track and Session Chair for the track "Cognition and Human Behavior in Information Systems". During the conference, Katja Bley (ISIH and NTNU) and Stefan Greulich (ISD) coordinated several rounds of presentations as Session Chairs. The strong impression of the TU Dresden was rounded off by four papers: the contributions of Stefan Greulich and Alfred Benedikt Brendel (both ISD) as well as Christoph Brosig, Katja Bley, Susanne Strahringer (all ISIH) and Markus Westner (OTH Regensburg).
The Missing Piece – Calibration of Qualitative Data for Qualitative Comparative Analyses in IS Research (Christoph Brosig, Katja Bley et al.)
"Feel, Don't Think" Review of the Application of Neuroscience Methods for Conversational Agent Research (Stefan Greulich, Benedikt Brendel)
"Is it COVID or a Cold?" An Investigation of the Role of Social Presence, Trust, and Persuasiveness for Users' Intention to Comply with COVID-19 Chatbots (Benedikt Brendel et al., Stefan Greulich)
MEET YOUR NEW COLLE(AI)GUE – EXPLORING THE IMPACT OF HUMAN-AI INTERACTION DESIGNS ON USER PERFORMANCE, (Marvin Braun, Maike Greve, Johannes Riquel, Benedikt Brendel, and Lutz Kolbe)
During the event, the team also gained great impressions of Timişoara as one of European Capitals of Culture. We will keep ECIS 2022 in very good memory and look forward to the next conference.
