BMWK: Research funding for follow-up project on voice assistance in the manufacturing context (AVISSBA)
We are pleased about the approval of another research project on voice assistance in the manufacturing environment (AVISSBA) of the Chairs of Business Information Systems, esp. Business Engineering and Technical Logistics by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK). The goal of this research project is the development of a troubleshooting assistance system for the manufacturing environment with a combination of visual and voice-based user interface. The basis for the troubleshooting instructions in the system to be developed will be a knowledge database, which will be automatically expanded and adapted based on company data as well as company-specific and freely available empirical values using data mining and AI-supported Natural Language Processing (NLP) methods. This project builds on the preliminary work of the previous project LeanBi4ProdLog. In this project, the two chairs already jointly developed a voice assistant for recording malfunction data in the manufacturing environment.
