Successful PhD Defense on "Algorithmic Transparency - Conceptualization, Antecedents, Consequences, and Measurement"
On Wednesday, 25 October 2023, Tobias Bitzer successfully defended his dissertation on "Algorithmic Transparency - Conceptualization, Antecedents, Consequences, and Measurement" at the TU Dresden.
At a time where more and more complex and intelligent algorithms are used in all areas of society, Tobias Bitzer's dissertation sheds light on the role of transparency of such algorithms. For this purpose, Tobias develops a conceptualization of "Algorithmic Transparency" and shows influencing factors as well as effects of "Algorithmic Transparency". Furthermore, Tobias Bitzer has developed a scale for measuring "Algorithmic Transparency" in his dissertation and thus paves the way for future (quantitative) research in this area.
We warmly congratulate Tobias Bitzer for his outstanding contributions and valuable insights in the field of "Algorithmic Transparency". We wish him success and all the best for the future!
