4 papers to be presented at the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) 2023
We are particularly delighted to announce that our chair will be represented with four outstanding research papers at the International Conference of Information Systems (ICIS) 2023, which this year is themed "Rising like a Phoenix: Emerging from the Pandemic and Reshaping Human Endeavors with Digital Technologies."
Special mention goes to two papers that have been nominated for the Best Paper Award:
- The paper by Isabell Lippert, Kathrin Kirchner, Martin Wiener, and Carol Saunders titled "Job Crafting in The Era of Algorithmic Management" and
- The paper by Jennifer Jiang, Isabell Lippert, and Armin Alizadeh, titled "Workers' Perceived Algorithmic Exploitation on Online Labor Platforms".
Both topics deal with the current zeitgeist of Business Information Systems: The use of intelligent algorithms for managing employees.
Other accepted papers include:
- "A Taxonomy of Algorithmic Control Systems" by Armin Alizadeh, Felix Hirsch, Jennifer Jiang, Martin Wiener, and Alexander Benlian, and
- Hannes Fischer's "Becoming a Data-Driven Organization: A Comparative Case Study on Digital Transformation Strategies".
These papers also reflect key aspects of digital transformation and advanced management in organizations, making them a valuable addition to the field of Business Information Systems.
