New Course: Data Visualization

Starting next semester, we are offering the new project seminar Data Visualization (5 ECTS). The course teaches how to present data in a clear, engaging, and audience-oriented way. Students learn the fundamental principles of good visual design and the hands-on creation of their own visualizations using Tableau. As part of the project, they work in teams to develop compelling visualizations based on freely chosen open data sources (e.g. Kaggle, opendata.dresden.de, …).

Enrollment is open now via OPAL. Please note that the course language will be German in the upcoming semester.
