WiWo-Ranking 2024: TU Dresden once again among the top three universities in Business Information Systems

Every year, the magazine Wirtschaftswoche (https://www.wiwo.de) ranks the most popular universities and universities of applied sciences from the perspective of HR managers and recruiters. This year's ranking clearly shows that TU Dresden is becoming increasingly popular among recruiters and HR managers as a "rare beacon of German higher education in the east of the republic" (Wiwo, 2022).

The TU Dresden was named as the third most popular university in the field of business information systems. The business information systems group attributes this ranking to several factors. Firstly, TU Dresden has switched back to the diploma degree in business information systems, which many recruiters consider to be more reliable than the Master's degree. Secondly, three focus areas - Advanced Data Analytics, Business Processes & Systems and Digital Business Engineering - offer sought-after and up-to-date specialisations. Close links to industry through guest lectures, practical case studies and contemporary research and teaching with digitally-inclusive concepts reinforce these specialisations and ensure an optimal preparation for later professional life.

These factors enabled the TU Dresden to improve its position from 4th place in 2022 to 3rd place in 2023 and 2024.
