Abstract
XML Topic Maps (XTM) stellt eine Spezifikation des World Wide Web Consortiums dar, die die Beschreibung von Topic Maps und damit von semantischen Netzen in XML-Dokumenten ermöglicht. Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, Integrationsmöglichkeiten derartiger Netze mit relationalen Datenbanken zu analysieren und einen Prototyp zu entwickeln, der die Modellierung generischer semantischer Netze mittels einer web-basierten Anwendung ermöglicht, die in einem Netzwerk mehreren Nutzern gleichzeitig zur Verfügung steht. Die Daten sind in einer relationalen Datenbank abgelegt und sind jederzeit in XTM-Dokumente exportierbar.
