CARE promotion concept and career development
CARE is dedicated to nurturing these researchers at all career stages within an outstanding national and international network of peers, promoters, and partners in science and industry. Our programs, aligned with international standards for supervision, mentoring, and quality assurance, will provide exceptional support, generating responsible, independent researchers equipped with professional skills, scientific integrity, and leadership competences.
The departments and disciplines involved in CARE have extensive experience in fostering the development of young talents through ongoing DFG Research Training Groups, such as RTG 2250 and RTG 1491, and DFG Collaborative Research Centers, including TRR 280 and TRR 339.
Building on the successful implementation of early career support within funded Clusters of Excellence under the Excellence Initiative and the Excellence Strategy at both TUD and RWTH, CARE will provide its members with a well-structured scientific career development and support program, starting at the bachelor level and extending to early-stage professors.
To this end, the CARE Career Development Center (CDC) is being set up to supplement existing programmes with a CARE-specific curriculum in cooperation with the TUD Graduate Academy and the RWTH Doctoral Academy.
