Together for democracy!

Protecting democracy together! On May 25, the DRESDEN-concept partners and the Bündnis Weltoffenes Dresden are initiating a major event for freedom and democracy in Dresden together with numerous partners. As a strong voice of science, art and culture, the TU Dresden, the University of Applied Sciences Dresden, the Dresden Technical Collections, the Dresden State Theatre, the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra and many others want to set an example for our liberal democracy, cosmopolitanism and human rights. The large alliance of scientific and cultural institutions is supported by DRESDEN-concept e.V. and the Bündnis Weltoffenes Dresden, which together represent more than 80 scientific and cultural institutions in Dresden.

From 13:30, kick-off events will start at four central locations, from where four trains will set off in the direction of Dresden city center at 14:00. In addition to the TUD procession from Fritz-Foerster-Platz, three more will set off from Sachsenplatz, Albertplatz and Wettiner Platz. They will meet at the Altmarkt, where the central event and program will take place between 15:00 and 18:00.
