Teaming up for sports: Dresden University Sports Center and the City of Dresden agree on cooperation

The Dresden University Sports Center (DHSZ) and the state capital of Dresden will work closely together as partners in the field of (university) sports and regional sports promotion. This partnership will aim to jointly market Dresden's university sports as well as to promote and develop the regional sports culture. On March 15, the partners signed a letter of intent on the TU Dresden campus. The core topics of the partnership will be infrastructure, sports promotion, events and press as well as public relations work.
The Dresden University Sports Center (DHSZ) is a central unit of Dresden University of Technology (TUD) and the University of Applied Sciences Dresden (HTWD). It also includes seven other Dresden universities. Hosting over 60 different sports and more than 2,000 sports and health courses, the DHSZ is one of the largest and most innovative university sports centers in Germany. More than 20,000 participants take part in the wide range of sports and health programs every year. With more than 35,000 registrations per year, the DHSZ is also one of the largest sports and health providers in the city of Dresden.
