TUD and HTW students successful in Budapest

The Dresden team "WG Dresden" (TUD and HTW) took third place in the European University Volleyball Championships. The twelve players included several students from the Mechanical Engineering department. From July 27 to August 3, 2025, a total of 30 teams from 15 nations with more than 450 participants competed against each other in Budapest. The Dresden team beat the University of Rostock 3:0 in the match for third place. Coach Dr. Marcus Herzberg, Research Associate at the Chair of Wood Technology and Fiber Materials Technology, also highlighted the team's FairPlay Award.
