GFF e. V. 2024 teaching awards - calls for applications launched

The Association of Friends and Sponsors of TU Dresden (GFF) is once again offering teaching awards for the academic year 2023/2024. For the first time, a teaching prize will be awarded for courses in teacher training:

Teaching Award Student Teaching and Learning Formats at TU Dresden

The total amount of prize money to be awarded to individuals or groups is 5,000 euros.

Eligible for the prize are

• student-developed courses or joint student projects that are sustainably integrated into the TUD's teaching program
• extraordinary student commitment in the implementation of teaching formats
• particularly innovative/creative/participative teaching formats designed by students
• extraordinary student commitment in the implementation of student projects

GFF 2024 Teaching Award - Non-university places of learning

Teaching and learning concepts from the 2023/2024 academic year whose conception and/or implementation involve non-university learning locations are to be honored. Suitable topics may include democracy, climate or social cohesion.

The total amount of prize money to be awarded to individuals or groups is20,000 euros. This means that offers from every faculty and Central Unit with study programs have the potential to receive a teaching award. The prerequisite for this is the submission of corresponding applications.

Teaching award for teacher training programs

The design of teaching and learning formats for student teachers and lateral entrants is proving to be a particular challenge against the backdrop of the transformation of the educational landscape. It is constantly important to impart skills that enable effective practice transfer for schools. For this reason, creative and sustainable concepts as well as special commitment are to be honored with a teaching award. The total amount of prize money to be awarded is 5,000 euros.

Proposals can be submitted using the following form by 31.08.2024

All status groups at TU Dresden are eligible to nominate candidates for the teaching awards. The prize can be awarded to individuals or groups of people. Proposals can be submitted directly via the website until 31.08.2024 .
