Since May 2024, Paula Felicitas Gruhl has been working on her doctoral project on the education project of the Franciscans in colonial Mexico, Yucatán region. The cross-epochal and cross-cultural project examines the education of indigenous people, particularly the Maya, in the Christian faith.

The International Medieval Congress (IMC) will take place in Leeds from July 1 to July 4, 2024. Marcus Handke and Nathalie Schmidt from FOVOG will be there to give presentations.

The director of FOVOG, Mirko Breitenstein, in conversation with Tobias Jakobi from the podcast "Geschichte Europas" about the life of Francis of Assisi and his reasons for leading a life of self-imposed poverty.
