A new publication by Carsten Junker and Laura Handl has been released in the volume Activist Writing: History, Politics, Rhetoric, edited by Pierre-Héli Monot, David Bebnowski, and Sakina Shakil Gröppmaier. The book, published with intercomverlag, includes interdisciplinary and mutifaceted perspectives on the titular topic and the conceptualization of activism. The chapter called "Gaga Meta-Manifestos" by Laura Handl and Carsten Junker examines the temporality of the manifesto and zooms in on manifestos by and about musician artist Lady Gaga. It starts from the observation that there has been a recent increase in manifesto publications, which promts the authors to examine constructions of time in manifesto writing and the potentialities of the form for queer and feminist theorizing.
