Ariana Dongus and Johanna Mehl invitied to speak at LOOPS.
Loops is the public event series of New Practice in cooperation with the Berlin University Alliance exploring current questions facing our society at the intersection of art, science and technology in a unique discursive format. Afterwards, the Bar provides a space for exchange between guests, researchers, students and the public.
The Loop series is organized by New Practice in Art and Technology
New Practice in Art and Technology is a research platform fostering a new post-disciplinary practice in light of technological and societal transformations. It engages with emerging cultural practices from an inter- and transdisciplinary perspective, bringing together positions from art, science, technology and theory. It emerges from the MA Design & Computation between the University of the Arts and the Technical University Berlin.
Ariana Dongus and Johanna Mehl will talk about imaginations of ‘humanness’ in the context of refugee camps fueled by design solutions and Silicon Valley's approach to technology testing.
