Impacts of demographical change on the drainage of settlements
Table of contents
The chair of Environmental Management and Accounting conducted the project “Impacts of demographical change on the drainage of settlements” in cooperation with the Institute of Urban Water Management. The project developed and evaluated adaptation strategies for wastewater organisations facing demographic change. The project had three consecutive goals: 1) the development of scenarios which allow a projection of the impacts, distinguished by place, time, and causality; 2) the development of adaptation strategies for an ecological and economic operation of the existing systems as well as of systems that are still to be installed; and 3) the exemplary implementation of the methods and suggested solutions.
