Science and Society
Summary: The module is one of five hands-on internship-type course. Students gain insights into the transfer of research and research results to society, the use of the interfaces between society and museums to generate new knowledge, and the application of strategies and methods of involving society in scientific work (citizen science). They master techniques and procedures for communicating biodiversity information to different target groups. They are able to write texts and prepare various target group-specific formats. The students can, for example, participate in public relations work, in exhibition development, in print and electronic media facilities, in the design of homepages or in museum and environmental education.
