Systematics and Bioindication of Bryophytes

Summary: Bryophytes are the second largest group of green land plants. They are very indicative of certain habitats, such as bogs or rocks. Bryophytes are very sensitive to environmental changes and are therefore suitable as bioindicators. In the module, bryophytes are used as bioindicators for the condition of flowing waters and as air quality indicators.
