Dissertation title: Corporate Biodiversity Management in Regional Agricultural Supply Chains – an Empirical Case Study Research

In his dissertation, Boris Seidel dealt with the question of how the complex topic of "biodiversity" can be made manageable, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), in view of growing consumer expectations and increasing regulatory requirements. To this end, he used qualitative and quantitative methods of empirical social research to develop a supplier assessment model based on biodiversity indicators, which was tested and discussed in companies in the "cereal-bread" supply chain. In the end, practical recommendations for action for SMEs as well as perspectives for further research could be derived.
