In her dissertation, Leyla Azizi focuses on understanding why universities adopt sustainability management and reporting practices and how these activities influence diverse stakeholders. This research advances an understanding of underlying processes as well as drivers and obstacles to integrating sustainability in higher education. Universities play a crucial role in facilitating sustainable development both on and off campus and are often called “change agents”.
