Guest lectures at the Chair of Business Administration, esp. Environmental Management
In the winter semester 2023/24, the Chair of Business Administration, esp. Environmental Management at IHI Zittau was once again able to organize various exciting guest lectures.
Please note:
Both guest lectures will take place online via Zoom and can be attended without prior registration. The access data can be found at the end of the news release.
- 13. December: Dr. Frauke Fischer
We are pleased that Dr. Frauke Fischer will take the time to talk about biodiversity in an economic context on December 13, starting at 2:15 pm. She will shed light on the impacts of and dependencies on biodiversity for companies.
Dr. Frauke Fischer is the founder of the Agentur "auf!", which, among other things, offers consulting services for companies on the subject of biodiversity. She can therefore draw on a wide range of theoretical and practical experience, which she will share with our students.
- 20. Dezember: Prof. Dr. Hjalmar Kühl
Prof. Dr. Hjalmar Kuehl is an ecologist and anthropologist and has been researching as Head of the Zoology Department and Head of the Mammalogy Section at the Senckenberg Museum für Naturkunde Görlitz since 2022 and holds the Professorship for Mammalian Biodiversity at IHI Zittau.
We are pleased that Prof. Kühl will give a guest lecture on his interdisciplinary research on December 20, starting at 2:15 pm. In the guest lecture, Prof. Kühl will discuss the extraction of mineral resources, the expansion of infrastructure, the monitoring of biodiversity, the mitigation hierarchy, and biodiversity offsets in theory and practice.
