Analyse von Rauschquellen im Vokaltrakt mit einem neuen Messverfahren zur 3D-Echtzeit-Rekonstruktion der Mundhöhle

Die Eigenschaften der Rauschquellen im Vokaltrakt bei der Erzeugung von Frikativen und Plosiven sind bis heute nicht im Detail verstanden. Rauschen entsteht durch Luftturbulenzen, die im Vokaltrakt unter bestimmten aerodynamischen und räumlichen Bedingungen auftreten, zumeist infolge eines starken Luftstroms durch eine Engstelle. Die Eigenschaften der turbulenten Rauschquellen, insbesondere ihre räumliche Verteilung und spektrale Zusammensetzung, sind in komplexer Weise von der zeitdynamischen 3D-Hohlraumform und dem intraoralen Druck abhängig. Die Eigenschaften können außerdem nicht direkt gemessen werden, sondern nur indirekt durch die inverse Filterung des akustischen Sprachsignals auf Basis der Vokaltraktform. Sowohl die inverse Filterung als auch die Analyse der Beziehungen zwischen den Quelleneigenschaften, der Hohlraumform, und dem intraoralen Druck erfordern daher möglichst genaue Messdaten der 3D-Vokaltraktform, insbesondere im Bereich der Engstelle. In diesem Projekt soll daher ein neuartiges Messverfahren auf Basis von Elektropalatographie und optischer Abstandsmessung im Mundraum entwickelt werden, mit dem die 3D-Hohlraumform des vorderen Vokaltrakts erstmals im Detail in Echtzeit rekonstruiert werden kann. Dieses Verfahren soll dann zur Analyse und Modellierung von Rauschquellen im Rahmen der artikulatorischen Sprachsynthese eingesetzt werden.
