Goal
Based on autonomous cars and driving assistances developed today, the functionality of an extended parking assistant will be simulated in the main seminar.
The goal is, that a vehicle (mobile robot) follows a track on a given course, recognizes suitable parking spaces, measures them, evaluates them and executes the parking procedures independently. The operator should be able to use a tablet computer as an input device to control various operating modes of the vehicle and retrieve information collected from the robot.
One team consisting of 5 students, who work on the task together. Every student must specialize in one field. The four AMR chairs provide joint support, with each area of responsibility being looked after primarily by one chair.
Delivered Hardware:
- 7'' Android Tablet
- LEGO Mindstorms NXT Robot Set
- Additional sensor technology inclusive microcontroller for connection to the NXT
Other
Responsible chairs: AT, MST, PLT, RST
