Organizational Information

- The number of participants is limited to 50.
- Course load: 2 SWS plus self-study (total workload: 90 hours)

Exam registration takes place via SELMA from October 13 to October 18, 2026 (only for the Electrical Engineering degree program). Withdrawal from this exam is only possible online until October 18, 2026." Exam registration is BINDING and is used for grading and grade reporting.
Group registration takes place via the OPAL learning platform from October 13 to October 21, 2026. Group registration is also binding and is used to form groups.

Objective
Based on today’s autonomous cars and driver-assistance systems, this advanced seminar aims to replicate the functionality of an advanced parking assistant.
The goal is for a vehicle (mobile robot) to follow the route of a predetermined course, detect, measure, and evaluate suitable parking spaces, and perform parking maneuvers autonomously. The operator should be able to use a tablet computer as an input device to control the vehicle’s various operating modes and retrieve information collected by the robot.
Teams of five students will work on the task. Each student must specialize in a specific area of responsibility. Supervision will be provided jointly by the four AMR chairs, with each area of responsibility primarily supervised by one chair.
