Project Planning of Automation Systems
Information
Structure: L/E/P: 2/2/2 → 7 LP
The module is offered in the summer semester and is an elective module in the
- Diploma Electrical Engineering (Field of Study AMR)
-
Master Electrical Engineering
- Master Information Systems Technology (Automation)
Organization
The organization of the lecture, exercise and projects takes place viaOPAL -Project Planning of Automation. The password for the enrollment will be announced during the first lecture.
Content and Qualification
The content are methods for Computer-Assisted Engineering in Process Automation (CAE-PA) with focus on:
- Cross-life cycle project planning of automation systems with e.g. requirements analysis, basic, detail and order engineering, implementation and commissioning
- Information modeling for integrated engineering systems
- Application and implementation in automation projects
After the completion of the module, the students can use description tools, methods and tools for computer-aided planning and projecting of complex automation systems and can implement them in specific domains and application areas or deepen them through further computer-aided methods.
Technical didactic concept
During the Lecture (2 SWS), the students acquire the theoretical basics for understanding engineering processes and information modelling.
During the Exercises (2 SWS), the theoretical basics are converted into practical action by suing simple examples and skills for applying the methods are acquired.
In an accompanying Project work (2 SWS) with the focus on digital transformation processes, the students design and implement a complex application or a specific algorithm in small groups in the environment of CAE systems. The result is presented by the students at the end of the lecture period.
