Research projects
Members of the HCS group contribute to the following two interdisciplinary research clusters.
First, the Cluster of Excellence for Tactile Internet with Human-in-the-Loop ( CeTI) envisions a future where humans interact in perceived real-time with cyber-physical systems (CPS) in the real or virtual world over intelligent wide-area communication networks. Inspired by the vision of CeTI, HCS group members aim at supporting its use cases, such as the Internet of Skills, with efficient and low-latency visual-haptic communication solutions.
Second, our members also shape the future 6th generation of mobile communication systems (6G) and their use cases in the 6G-life project. Here, HCS members will contribute to the enabling of computing in the communication networks (or In-Network Computing) and the distributed and collaborative architecture of robotic swarms.
