Franz Dammaß has successfully defended his dissertation on Phase-field modeling of fracture in soft solids. In his thesis, he addreses deformation and fracture phenomena in soft solids, such as elastomers and toffee. These are investigated based on incremental variational principles and the crack fracture phase field method as well as innovative physics-augmented artificial neural networks.
The dissertation and defense were awarded summa cum laude (with distinction). We congratulate him warmly!
