Chair of Imaging Techniques in Energy and Process Engineering
The Chair conducts research and training in the field of innovative imaging techniques for process diagnostics. We therewith contribute to a better fundamental understanding of various physical phenomena in thermal fluid dynamics and to an improved efficiency and safety of technical processes. The research focusses on
- Imaging techniques with high spatial and temporal resolution for the determination of phase distributions, temperature and species concentration in multiphase flows
- Methods of automated image analysis and data fusion using high-power computing systems
- Process and flow diagnostics in distinct technical application areas
