Course content |
Within the framework of this lecture series, students are introduced to processes for the production of metallic materials. The aim is to deepen the basic knowledge acquired in the lecture series "Material Production". One focus is on the metallurgical processes for the production of steel (blast furnace, converter, PMA, continuous casting etc.). This is intended to give students the opportunity to learn about important aspects relating to material quality and the degree of purity of materials and to link the knowledge acquired. In a further subject area, current development trends in the production of metallic materials are examined. The focus is on the new possibilities of additive-generative manufacturing, especially the powder bed (SLM, EBM) and free-form processes (LPA, LDA). Furthermore, the development of residual stresses in additive-manufactured structures/components is dealt with. In addition, the current research trends in this field are presented and discussed in this lecture series. Lectures
