Course content |
The goal of these lectures is to make the participant familiar with materials and lead them into the complex way of thinking needed for material engineering. Tailored to machine builders/constructors, the fundamental connections will be conveyed between the structure, microstructure and properties of metallic, ceramic as well as polymer and composite materials. The content of the lectures will be deepened with 8 practical classes, each with a length of one semester hour, which are distributed over the winter and summer semesters. The module Material Engineering is a compulsory module for the foundation studies of the academic direction Machine Construction. It is offered in every academic year. The lecture and practical classes Materials Engineering 2 are a continuation of Materials Engineering 1. Lecture
