The lecture delivers the students a deeper knowledge about the structure and properties of metallic aerospace materials. In addition to an elementary look at the metallurgy basics of the individual materials groups, the students will also obtain an understanding of material usage through the presentation of a large number of practical examples. The students also learn about the various production methods of aerospace materials and learn their application limitations. The lectures integrate many current research results and give the students an insight into the scientific field of material research in the field of aerospace materials.
