60th Anniversary of the TU Dresden Wind Tunnel
According to records, the wind tunnel was first operated by the scientist at the then TH Dresden at exactly 5:43pm on September the 28th, 1962.
Since then, numerous researchers have used this facility to investigate an wide range of flow problems in civil engineering and invironment, road and rail vehicles, power engineering as well as competitive sports.
On this occasion a celebration will take place on October 6th, 2022. Speeches will be contributed by
- Dr. Veit Hildebrand (longtime head of the wind tunnel),
- Ronny Hartnick (FES Berlin),
- Prof. Konrad Költzsch (Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt) as well as
- Hannes Rienecker (TU Dresden).
