Maiden Flight

 Already on Dec 12th, 2023, the first flight of the modified SIG Kadet 40 was successful, which will serve as a research UAV at the chair in the future.
 To increase the take-off weight, the aircraft is equipped with a wing with an enlarged wingspan (2.0 m instead of 1.7 m) and flaps. For easier repair and further modification, the wing is composed of several 3D printed segments.
 The test flight was still carried out with pure hand control, but already with a 2 kg payload dummy. Later, the aircraft will also be able to operate autonomously.
