Special Highlight at the End of the Semester

The last day of the lecture period offered the participants in the "Interdisciplinary Design Project Aerospace Engineering" a final highlight: The small unmanned aerial vehicles that they designed and built over the course of the semester experienced their "first flight", albeit so far only suspended in the wind tunnel.
In the course, student groups design small aircraft specifically for search and rescue missions. This requires the application and deepening of the skills acquired during the course of study in several subjects. Work in the group must be organized, with regular presentations of the progress of work, the ability to express oneself is practiced and improved.
Thanks to funding within the framework of the "Call for Proposals for Teaching/Learning Projects of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering" and considerable contribution by the chair, the designs could be materialized for the first time this year.
